MYOB AccountRight Live and Ostendo ready to send batches

Hi,

 For the past month I have had an issue with transferring batches from Ostendo to MYOB.  What could be causing the problem? Batches do not fail, they remain in 'Ready to send" phase in Ostendo....... and sometimes appear as successful, but a day later, back in "ready to send" phase.  Software support have updated Ostendo to latest version, plus re-installed the accounting link, but it did not resolve the issue.

 

What could be the possible cause for this?

    Most likely cause is file size. Ostendo users tend to be high transaction volume users, so file grows fast. Once the AR2023 file hits a certain size, AR2023 struggles to process more data. Check the file size by creating a backup and restoring locally.  If size is over 2 GB I would recommend getting the file reduced by purging - search 'purge for myox'  - this has solved the issue for others. Or starting a new file.

    Thank you for the information supplied re "file size".  I passed it on to our Ostendo Software support.  Their response was only...... that my volume of transactions is very unlikely to cause a problem relating to file size, and that it is more likely to be an API issue.  We discovered that even though Ostendo batches show as "ready to send" in the Ostendo program, the transactions do appear in MYOB.  

     

    I check the MYOB transaction journals at the end of each day, to ensure information has transferred.
