Supplier Item ID Search Functionality in Billing Module

I am reaching out regarding an issue I’ve encountered while working with the billing module. I have successfully input the supplier item IDs for two items, and I can search for these items by supplier item ID using the [advanced item search] function in the item list. This indicates that the supplier item IDs are recorded properly in the system.

However, when I attempt to input a bill, I am unable to search for items using the supplier item ID. I can only search by our internal item ID. This discrepancy has raised some questions. Could anyone help clarify whether this is a limitation of the system, or if there’s a setting or configuration I might have missed that would enable searching by supplier item ID in the billing module as well?

I’ve experienced the same result when using both the desktop and web versions of the system.

I noticed that Point 12 on MYOB website mentions this functionality, so it should be working as expected.

12. If you're being billed for items:
in the Item ID field, click the dropdown to choose an item or search for an item by entering all or part of the Item ID or Supplier item ID. As you type, matching items are shown.
