AccountRight must restart - when trying to delete an unused wage catagory
You are well aware of the number one cause of it. I have shown you why it occurs and why it is impossible for mere users to fix it.
For anyone who is curious;
Pre-STP the Payment summary setup screen had you tick which wage categories populated the various fields of the Payment Summaries (or Group Certificates for the old schoolers). If a wage category was ticked against any field then you could not later delete that wage catagory until it was unticked from the payment summary setup screen. This was very easy to to do, open the Payment Summary setup screen and untick it.
Since STP MYOB has removed (more likely disabled & hidden) the Payment Summary screen users can not untick the offending wage categories so as to delete unused categories. The database still retains the that old Payment summary setup data in the background which I have clearly demonstrated to the MYOB support people with the use of backup databases and pre & post STP versions of Accountright.
Why this has not been addressed with a simple wipe of the obsolete Payment Summary Setup data is beyond comprehension!
