FDV Leave

I have created a leave entitlement for family and domestic violence leave and have linked an employee to it.

As per guidelines https://www.fairwork.gov.au/pay-and-wages/paying-wages/pay-slips#paid-family-and-domestic-violence-leave to ensure his payslip looked the same as normal, the 16 hours taken were simply included in base hourly. His payslip will be identical to his previous one.

The problem now is that I can't manually change the balance adjustment

I have read through MYOB

but this doesn't help as I can't have another leave code - I need payslip to just be completely normal.

Can anyone shed light on why I can adjust the other leave entitlements but not this one?

Thanks

  • Hi MYOBuser25,

I get that you're having trouble manually adjusting the balance for the Family and Domestic Violence leave entitlement. This issue is likely because the "Carry Remaining Entitlement Over to Next Year" box is not ticked. To fix this, you can create a new entitlement and make sure to tick the "Carry Remaining Entitlement Over to Next Year" box.

Feel free to get in touch if you need more help.

    Hi

Only problem with that is that this leave doesn't carry over.  It's a set 10 days, upfront, on the anniversary of their start date.

    Hi MYOBuser25,

Thanks for your response. From what I understand, it's okay to proceed. You can just unlink the employee from the entitlement after using the pay item.
