Payroll advice rpt not matching Payroll activity & register

Hi there

We need to provide details to employee for sick leave from 1/5/2024.

When organising reports, there is a discrepancy between Payroll Advice report and Payroll Activity (Detail), Payroll Register (Detail). I think the Payroll Advice report is correct but I like everything to balance!

Any advice please?

Kind regards

Sue

  • Hi CollTspt,

If your Payroll Advice Report, Payroll Activity Report, and Payroll Register Report aren't matching up, don't sweat it! The mismatch usually comes from manual edits to the employee's Pay History in their employee card or incorrect ATO reporting categories. The Payroll Activity Report shows real payroll transactions, while the Payroll Register (and thus the Payroll Advice) shows what's in the Pay History on the employee card. Simply check each employee's card pay history and compare it with the payroll report for that time period to spot the problem. You can then fix things by either reprocessing the pay or making adjustments in the next payroll run. For more info check out this link.
