Payroll Categories Inactive PLEEEEEASE

MYOB,

Can you please please please please give us the ability to make payroll categories inactive.

 

I can't believe how many people ask for this going back many many years and still MYOB has not fixed this huge issue.

Go arounds such as marking them with Z or deselecting them from an employee (which doesn't work if you use timesheets) should not be our only option. MYOB support once suggested we start a new file!

 

Given the price we pay now for a monthly subscription.....

 

Please make this a priority.

    Thank you for posting. I believe this is under our Product Ideas Board and the team is aware of all the feature requests our users are suggesting. You can vote for the feature request that you want here. In the meantime, you will have to do the workarounds that you have mentioned.

    Thought I'd mention there is a specialist company that can remove unwanted payroll categories, provided they haven't been used in the last year or so.

     

    Say you had 300 to remove, they create one new Substitute payroll category and then go through the database and replace all references to the 300 with the substitute one. They then delete the 300 - even if they have been used on timesheets. Any screens and reports will then display the one substitute one instead of any of the 300 deleted. And the employees payscreen will no longer display unwanted payroll categories.
