Payroll Categories

Morning
I don't understand when we are starting a new FY why we can't remove old payroll categories from employees.  I have apprentices who no longer require certain payroll categories as they have changed years or become registered plumbers and I would just like to untick the ones that don't relate to them anymore.  I can't make the category unallocated as I still have current apprentices who require that payroll category.


Surely this issue can be rectified by the techs who design this programme.  Especially being we are in a new FY.

    MYOB does allow you to untick payroll categories from an employee’s card if they no longer apply. However, it’s not possible to fully remove a payroll category from an employee profile if that category has previously been used in any past pay runs. This limitation exists to protect payroll integrity and historical record-keeping, but I agree it can seem more hassle than it should be when you just want things to look neat.

The more interest an idea gets, the higher the chance it’ll land on the developers’ radar. Thank you.
