Payroll tax report

I've set up my payroll tax as per the attached setup and trying to run a payroll tax report for July 2025 to December 2025 and it's showing the total wages but has N/A for the Taxable wages.  It's showing Payroll Tax Rate as 4.75% but showing Tax Payable as N/A.  What have I done wrong?  I have changed the wages figures for confidentiality.

  • Just a follow up - I did realise I have inputted the deduction amount to start at $180333 and not $108333, and have worked out the report will calculate when doing it month by month but still shows N/A if inputting the 6mth (July to December) as per our lodgement.

I have the same problem. I have setup the same as you. I have been using MYOB for years however I usually do my payroll tax manually because I don't get the information from the report.

A resolution for this would be good as I am training someone and want to make it as painless as possible.

    Hi everyone,

Totally get that 6‑month payroll reports are really important, especially for payroll tax.

What you’re seeing is actually a current limitation in the AccountRight Payroll Tax report. When you run it over a longer custom date range (like July to December or a full year), it can’t properly apply the deduction rules, so it ends up showing N/A for Deduction, Taxable Wages and Tax Payable instead of a figure.

Our developers are aware of this, and it’s on the list for a future update, but there’s no confirmed date for that change yet.

In the meantime, the best way to get the right figures is to:

    1. Run the Payroll Tax report one month at a time, then
    2. Add up the monthly Tax Payable amounts to get your 6‑month or annual total for lodgement.

I know it’s not as handy as a single 6‑month report, but this will give you accurate numbers based on your current setup.

    Regards,

    Genreve

I don't get all the figures when I run it monthly either. I still don't get the deduction, taxable wages or tax payable figures.

The report hasn't worked for years so I will leave it and hope that MYOB fixes it some time in the future.

    Cheers

    Hi Genreve,

It's a shame, I don't understand how it can't be set up with the choice of monthly, 6 monthly, or yearly.  As when you have to report 6 monthly the payroll deductions is calculated on the 6 monthly figures not on a monthly basis.
