RDO Accrual

Hi All,

I am in  the process of moving our payroll over to MYOB, and am using an external company to create the timesheets, which I then import. Because my wages categories have to be set up a particular way I do not use "Base Hourly," but rather have set up wage categories for each pay grade I use, as well as penalties (early morning, late night, OT ect.) (some of my staff are paid at different grades for different roles.) I have set up my Paid RDO wage category and the entitlement category, and linked the two, and it is accruing perfectly, but as I am not using the "Base Rate" wage catergory to pay the staff, it is not reducing their hours by the accrued RDO amount. My staff work 40 and are paid 38, with one Paid RDO every 4 weeks. Is there a work around for this?

Sorry to see that no one has replied to you yet. If you're using an RDO Paid wage category and RDO accrual entitlement category you would enter only the hours paid to the applicable wage payroll categories. The RDO accrual hours appear in the Entitlements section of the pay. For example, if an employee works 40 hours and their Base payroll category is Base Hourly grade on, 38 hours is entered against that wage payroll category and the 2 RDO hours automatically accrue against the entitlement category.

If you want to enter 40 hours against their wage payroll category you would need to set up another wage payroll category called RDO Deduction for the 2 hours RDO accrual. In the employee card>>Standard pay you can enter 40 against their normal wage category and -2 against the RDO deduction payroll category.

As you're not using the Base Hourly/Base Salary payroll categories you will need to manually adjust the wage payroll category hours when an RDO is taken and hours are paid against the RDO Paid wage category.
