Salary Sacrifice

Hi

I have just realised that back in October, an employee had an additional super payment salary sacrificed which shouldn't have been and now it has been paid.

What is the best way to fix this now that it's been paid?

    Hi AmyG1,

Since the extra super salary sacrifice has already been paid, you can start by requesting a refund of the that amount from the super fund. Once you get the refund, just record it as "Receive Money." Next, you've got a couple of options. You can either adjust it in the next pay run or do a separate pay run just for the super salary sacrifice amount. Make sure to enter it as a negative so it cancels out the extra payment. You can check this link to see on how to process one.

    Cheers,

    Doreen

Thank you!  How do I request a refund from the super fund?

    Hi AmyG1

You can reach out to the superfund management to request for a refund. The easiest way is by opening the superfund's website and using their contact information to reach out to them directly.
