weekend rates

I have weekend ratesset up in payroll and have been applying them to my employees prior to using MYOB Teams. Teasm still doesnt seem to apply the weekd rates to hours worked on the weekend

    Thank you so much for your post and welcome to the Community Forum! When employee hours are submitted via MYOB Team, they will only display in your software under the Base hourly payroll category, which currently can't be altered. We've highlighted this to our teams for potential future developments to include different payroll categories.

    I am in the same boat, and MYOB does not apply weekend rates for my staff, while I need to manually do so.. Is there a way to fix this?

    Hi MattiaAquotix,

     

    MYOB doesn’t automatically handle weekend rates unless they’re pre-set in the system. You could try setting up custom pay items to apply weekend rates more easily during your pay runs. See this link to guide you with the process.

    Thank you for the reply.

    I have set up the custom pay items (ie. Saturday Casual shift) but MYOB doesn't link that pay item to any shift, or day of the week (Saturday shifts, for example).

     

    When I do a Payrun, I need to:

    -manually count the hours that my employee has worked on Saturday

    -remove them from the Base hourly rate

    -add them to the custom pay item (Saturday shift)...

     

    It's a bit time consuming when you have over 10 employees that don't have set rosters, so i was hoping there would be a fix.

     

    Do you know if there is a way to make MYOB link a shift/day of the week to a "Custom Pay item"?

    Hi MattiaAquotix

     

    The Teams App is set up to record hours for base hourly pay and there isn’t a way to use other pay items for it. I reckon heaps of people would find it handy if there were more options available. The best idea would be to pop this suggestion on the Ideas Exchange board—other users can vote on it, which could help get it on the radar for future updates.

     

    For now though, adding those payrun details does take a bit of extra effort.
