Baslink not responding

Hi, I have 3 different companies I do BAS for.

Today, for some unknown reason, program keeps freezing (not responding) when I am in BAS.

It's happened on all 3 companies each time i am in bas area.

Apart from that all companies run fine, it only freezes when i am in bas area.

Is this a glitch from the last update, is anyone else having this problem.

The only fix i worked out was to cross that screen then go straight back into bas and it works but only for 1 thing at a time.  If I want to print the transaction then go to print the bas schedule that's when it freezes.  

If anyone can shed some light it would be much appreciated.

    JSawyeryou're correct - AccountRight isn't freezing it's only the BASlink program.  Would be helpful if MYOB could do a Team Viewer session with one of us to see it

    Hi Princess,

    Thank you for replying.

    If you could provide billing information for MYOB so that I can forward to my IT provider to bill MYOB so that they can spend hours to tell MYOB what we are already saying. When you have multiple ABNs with all different BASlink setups, this could get messy. I would like MYOB to provide evidence of this matter actually getting looked at and why this cannot be resolved.  If the issue is happening with many users, it sort of indicates that it's not a computer issue but a software issue.

    I'd like to try those fixes Princess_R.  So in Documents-MYOB-AccountRight-BASLink, do I delete the entire Setup folder or just the contents?  And did you mean delete the BASLink.txt location or just the BASLink.txt file?  If I delete the location, that will take with it the entire Data folder as well as the Setup folder.

    I completely understand that the standard troubleshooting has been ineffective for you, and it is frustrating to be given standard steps for what should be considered a bug.

     

    I've looked further into the issue and can confirm that it has been raised with our development team as a bug. 

     

    We're currently unable to confirm if or when a fix may be available for this. However, we understand that this is causing inconvenience to your business, and we thank you for your patience to date.

    Hi JSawyer,

     

    Thanks for your response. You should delete just the contents of the Setup folder, not the entire folder itself. Similarly, just delete the BASLink.txt file, not the entire BASLink.txt location. I found a thread where others had a similar issue, and following these steps worked for them.

    You would think that after all the money they get for annual subscription they would look at fixing this from their end instead of giving us all these make do suggestions!!  Maddening is not a strong enough word, looking at xero as myob are a nightmare to deal with!!

    I totally get your frustration with the BASlink reports freezing after printing and having to redo everything multiple times.     I have also just completed two BAS using the BAS link, which were also successful.

     

    So nice to see a resolution to this problem.

    That's awesome to hear! It's great that you're able to use BASlink without any issues now and save so much time. I've reached out to the relevant team to confirm if this fix was included in the recent update. I'll update the post once I get more info from them.
