Forum Discussion
HI Success5a,
Thank you for your post and welcome to the community forum! I can see that you would like to know on how the employee can submit sick leave. They can submit the request by follow the steps below:
- From the home screen, tap Apply for leave. You'll see all existing leave requests on the Leave screen.
- Tap ‘+’ to create a new leave request.
- Tap Leave reason and choose the type of leave you're requesting. If the type of leave you're requesting isn't available, speak to your employer to make sure they've assigned that type of leave to you in their MYOB software.
- Tap Length of leave and enter the leave details.
- If you're taking 1 or more full days, choose the Start date and End date.
- If you're taking Less than 1 full day, choose the leave Date, Start time and End time.
- (Optional) Enter a Note to accompany your leave request.
- Tap Submit to send the request to your manager. The leave request will be listed on the Leave screen as Pending.
Once your manager approves it, you'll receive a notification in the app and the leave request will show as Approved.
Alternatively, you may check this helpful article for the detailed information in submitting timesheets and leave in MYOB Team app.
Feel free to write a post if you need further assistance.
Cheers,
Jem

Thanks for your reply, however it doesn't resolve the problem. The employee doesnt need to apply for sick leave, I just want them to be able to document that they are sick that day, and to allocate 7.6 hours to sick leave. The same with a TAFE day or Annual leave day. How does an employee enter that day? Ie not apply for the annual leave, but for instance work 4 days and take 1 day Annual leave. How do they document that 1 day (7.6hours) in the app?
And does this day go to Base hourly? Can annual leave etc be allocated to the leave category?

Hi Success5a,
I see, they can rather add a note for the approving manager when submitting the timesheet.
If you have other types of leave that you need to pay your employees (apart from annual and personal leave) you'll need to set up a wage category for it. Remember – wage categories are used to include payments on an employee's pay.
Cheers,
Jem
