Subject: Business Basics V1 – Reports Not Displaying After 100% Flash

Hi all,
I’m using MYOB BusinessBasics Version 1 in offline mode on a Windows 11 system. When I try to generate any report, I briefly see a flash screen showing “100%” — but then it disappears and no report is displayed. There’s no error message, and the program continues running normally otherwise.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
- Adjusted display resolution to 800×600 and scale to 100%
- Set compatibility mode to Windows XP SP3 and disabled DPI scaling
- Ran the program as administrator
- Verified that a default printer is set
- Attempted a “Restore” install from the original disc
None of these steps have resolved the issue. I’d appreciate any advice from others who’ve encountered this or know of a workaround. Is there a patch or setting I might be missing?
Thanks in advance,
Lawrence

  • Thanks for your quick reply, Liz.

Unfortunately, FGH Tables was of no use. I did try another couple of fixes, none of which came to fruition. I consider I've had a great run with Business Basics, having purchased it in 2002 whilst running a small business. However, now that I'm retired it's time to send it to the farm. Rest well my old friend.

    Thanks again and goodbye MYOB.

    Regards,

    Lawrie

  • Hi lawrie1804

I've never seen this before (just tested successfully on this version on Windows 11) and I'm not super IT literate so I will make a suggestion to try creating a new file as a test or restore a really old backup to test. If it is a MYOB file corruption and you can't find a resolution here, then I would suggest that you contact FGH Tables for a reasonably priced fix.

    Cheers

    Liz
