In Tray - no docs showing, MYOB file transfer issue??

Hi All

changed over to a new computer and transferred files across through onedrive (inc MYOB file).  Desktop version.  On EQ intranet. (have spoken to them and they say it is not their issue - something not right with MYOB).

If I drop a document into the In Tray, it comes up with the error that the document cannot be loaded.   If I open the In Tray, it says my In Tray is empty - even when I know that there are documents there.  If I change to my hotspot, documents will appear in the In Tray and will load if added.

If I go to the online version, I can see the documents in the In Tray and also add documents to the In Tray - though it is very slow.

?? Would the MYOB file have lost some functioning in the transfer to the new laptop?  Or is there any settings within MYOB file that need to be adjusted? Or would it be better to download MYOB file direct from MYOB and overwrite the file on my laptop??

thanks for your help in advance.

  • Hi Daph1,

Thanks so much for everything you’ve done so far. You’ve really covered all the key steps by checking the EQ intranet and seeing how things work in both the desktop and online versions of MYOB. Noticing that your In Tray documents show up fine when you switch to the online version or use a hotspot is a great clue.

Issues like this often happen if MYOB files get moved around on a cloud service like OneDrive. Usually, it just comes down to OneDrive is still finishing up its syncing, or there’s some sort of file access conflict. It’s worth giving OneDrive a quick look to make sure everything’s fully synced and that your files aren’t blocked or open somewhere else. Some OneDrive users have fixed missing data problems by following the steps outlined on this link.

And yes, downloading a fresh copy of your file straight from MYOB is totally safe and actually a really good idea.

    Cheers,

    Princess

Thank you for the prompt reply.  I decided I would reinstall MYOB file, but that hasn't help either.  No issues with one drive.  Cheers
