MYOB Outage 27/4 to 28/4

MYOB's planned outage obviously went far longer than the 6:30am restart this morning however what infuriated me apart from lack of advance notification is the fact the outage was listed for MYOB Business yet account Account Right desktop was also out.

    Hi Albare,

     

    Sorry you had to start your day like that. You’re right, you shouldn’t have to go hunting after an outage to find out what happened. For future incidents or maintenance, you can subscribe to our Status Hub so you get updates pushed to you instead of having to search for them. Just head to the status page and use the Subscribe option in the top-right corner to get notified about planned work and outages.

    Hi Albare,

     

    Sorry for the frustration this caused. The issue has now been resolved, and AccountRight should be back up and running. You’re also spot on that the original notice focused on MYOB Business, which is confusing given AccountRight desktop was affected too. You can check out our status hub link with the latest update on the AccountRight outage.

    Thank you for replying Doreen.

     

    I have to ask, why should we learn of a planned outage after its occurred and we go searching for more details. I also couldn't log into the Community forum, receiving the outage pop up and thus couldn't ask or seek advice...

     

    My bank sends out notices prior to scheduled maintenance.

     

    I start every day on MYOB at 5:30am, today I got no where by 7:15am so it was more than just frustration.  I don't think your software engineers understand how some real world users actually operate.

     

    As a "Plan B" backup I quickly created a MS Word doc for manual entries of invoices that were needed to go out with today's deliveries...and then found MYOB was back online when I got to my work place at 7:30am...2 hours lost isn't frustrating.....it's $210/month of subscription anger.
