Three types of challenge to login now!

I am surprised there isn't a question about this already.
For the past two days, as well as putting in my email address, then clicking a button, then putting in my password, clicking a button, then going to my phone to get authentication, typing that in and clicking a button...
I now ALSO have to type in what a Captcha says!
Seriously???
And as I have two company files, I have to do this twice if I want them both open (which I generally do)
It's really like MYOB is trying to push us away!
Is there any way around this? My computer lives in my home office. Nobody accesses it except me. What ever happened to having the choice to not have to jump through triple hoops every time I open Myob??

Then to add further insult... I come into the forum, which I basically only come in to once a year or two, and spot a delightful message about all my offline (ie local, securely stored) backups will not be able to be read by me in about six weeks. Not six months time or more, but six weeks!

A bit more notice would have been appreciated Myob - and it was only by chance that I saw that notice at all. You said there was an email... the last email I got from myob was in March saying "what's new" - something of this level of magnitude really should have been screaming out at me.

So, in order to discover if my data was still going to be legible to me, I had to spend five precious hours discovering how to export everything out of all my myob files, all the way back to 2000. Saying something like, oh you only really need 7 years of data anyway is a little disingenuous Myob  - that's not your decision to make.

Very unhappy at the lack of service (still waiting for Email Receipts function here!). Price skyrockets and NO better service or enhancements. Only more things to figure out how to manage because it takes functionality away from us.

And don't ever say just go online - as others have said, internet availability is not always a given, so that's not a solution. Plus your online system is woeful - there are things missing that are available in the desktop version which are critical - off the top of my head, inventory management is terrible, and even simple things like subtotaling in invoices or purchase orders in non existant online.

Not a happy myober here.

    Thanks a bunch for laying all that out. I can definitely see why it's been a bit of a headache, especially having to jump through all those steps just to get into your files. Good news on one part though. The captcha issue has now been fixed, so you shouldn't be getting asked to do that anymore when logging in. The extra authentication steps are still there as part of the security updates to keep everything safe. I hear you on the backup notice and the short heads-up. Totally fair call that more visibility would've made a big difference there. Appreciate you taking the time to share all this.
