Truncated columns in Sales Register - Desktop

Hi there 

Since the most recent update, every time I open the Sales Register it truncates multiple columns so they do not show their full value.  

If I double click on the heading for each column it will expand it, but then when I change to a different Customer I have to resize the columns all over again.  It is extremely annoying when I am doing this constantly each day.    

You can see from the attached screenshot that it has truncated the invoice number, Cust PO, Amount and Amount Due columns.  

NOTE:

This is not occurring in the Purchases Register.

 

Any suggestions?

    Hi Fitzroy65,

    Thanks for flagging this, and for the screenshot, super helpful. I totally get how the resize-every-time loop in the Sales Register can be a hassle. There is no option or settings right now that can widen the column in Sale Register. You'd need to widen the column manually to see the whole numbers or column. 

    You can submit this on our Product Ideas page, our developers regularly review suggestions and may include them in upcoming releases.

    It worked fine a few days ago, why would you make it more difficult to use the program by taking away functionality?

    I need to be able to see the entire purchase order number by default, I don't need to see 2x FX columns that we don't sell in!

    I do not need my columns re-arranged and re-sized 400 times a day. Almost as bad as microsoft for crying out loud!

    The fix they gave me to resize the columns worked once.  It was to drag the column widths to the right size and log out.  When I logged back in it had held them, but as soon as I logged back in the next time, I have the same problem again.  Agree that it is so irritating when it worked perfectly fine before.

    Hi Fitzroy65,

     

    Thanks for getting back to us and explaining what happened. Sorry to hear that the column resize fix only stuck for one login and then reverted. That’s a pain, especially since it used to work reliably. I also tried right‑clicking the header and selecting “Best fit (all columns).” That gives me a clear view, but it doesn’t stick after I closing and reopening. For now, you can do that each time you open the Sales Register until our developers release a fix. I know that’s not ideal and appreciate your patience on this. 

      

    We moved your post to our Ideas board last time and passed your feedback to the product team, but we need more votes on it to help show impact and bump priority.
