Hi Amy_BW,
Our team’s onto it and looking for ways to make upgrading to AccountRight Premier a smoother ride, keeping your history’s on our radar too. Can’t promise a set timeframe just yet, but we’ll keep you posted if anything changes. We appreciate you sticking with us!
Cheers,
Shella

Does that mean that a solution is being worked on to allow upgrading to AccountRight? Is there a timeframe? This is the one thing that is holding us back from upgrading. Business no longer meets our needs. AccountRight Premier would be ideal but if we need to set up a new company file from scratch, then there is no advantage staying with MYOB and we would be better off changing to another system who will import our history for us.
Please work on finding a solution.

Hi Rochelle27,
At the moment, moving from MYOB Business to AccountRight is still a manual process. This is largely because AccountRight online is designed with desktop compatibility in mind, although there is an option to access it via a browser. The setup works a little differently, so things aren't automated just yet.

Good morning
We are also looking to convert from MYOB Business Pro to AccountRight as it doesn't offer some of the features we require. Has MYOB resolved this inability to just upgrade or is it still manual? Seems odd if both are cloud based products that MYOB cannot facilitate an upgrade.

Absolutely not. The response was to make a backup of the Business Pro file datafile. When queried however MYOB admitted there was no way to make a backup of the Business Pro cloud file. Twelve months after the subscription lapses, the datafile is deleted and can no longer be accessed. A printout of the data was suggested!

hello is there a valid response to this concern as the data file really belongs to the client and not myob

Hi Shella
When u say manually, how do you do this manually?

hi was this question answered successfully? myob have told me in writing that the files belong to the business owners and quite rightly so

this seems unreasonable as all historical data in myob business pro is effectively lost unless entered manually into accountright? Do we not pay a subscription to utilise business pro ? if so then the data entered during this usage should clearly be made available to the subscriber for proceeding onto AccountRight

Hi annejones,
Thanks for your questions regarding your data. Since there's no direct migration from MYOB Business Pro to AccountRight Plus, you can still make the switch by exporting your data from MYOB Business Pro and then importing it into AccountRight Plus. Note that any data not included in the export will need to be manually entered. For STP reporting to the ATO, you can set up STP in AccountRight Plus.
Feel free to get in touch if you need more help.
Cheers,
Princess
