    Hi CYClovelly,

Thank you for providing details about the error when exporting reports to Excel. The cause of this issue is typically due to missing files from the directory specified in the error message or a permissions issue that is blocking access to those files.

If the .XLT files are missing from the folder location specified in the error message, please try the following steps:

    1.Reinstall AccountRight:

    • Temporarily disable your antivirus software.
    • Run the installer as an Administrator by right clicking the installer file and selecting Run as Administrator. You can download the software here.

    2. Try Installing the Server Installer:

    • If the standard installation doesn't resolve the issue, consider running the AccountRight Server Edition Installer.

    3. Check Folder Access:

    • If the .XLT files are in the specified folder, permissions or security settings might be blocking access.
    • Ensure the folder has full read/write permissions and isn't restricted by your antivirus or security software.

    Regards,

    Sai

    Hi ANCCranes

    Thank you for the response.

Here are the steps from the post.

To find the diagnostic log file:

    1. Open your Start Menu
    2. Type: %localappdata%
    3. Open the %localappdata% folder:

    4. Open the MYOB Folder.
    5. Open the AccountRight Folder.
    6. Open the Current folder

Note: versions prior to 2021.1 will show as the version number, eg, 2020.2
    7. Open the Diagnostics Folder.

The diagnostic file name would have the format: Huxley.Application_<<full version number>>.log
For example, AccountRight 2021.7's diagnostic file would be Huxley.Application_2021.7.24.5180.log

Feel free to attach the diagnostic log to your next reply.

    Cheers,

    Genreve

    Hi ANCCranes,

Thanks for your response and the diagnostic log.

I checked on this and I found some errors on how Excel is communicating with AccountRight.

I would suggest downloading Quick Repair Office from the Microsoft website and running it to fix the issue with Excel. If this does not solve the issue, we will need an IT person to re-register the DLL files for Excel and/or check the registry values of the computer for Excel. Here is a link that might help the IT personnel in fixing the issue https://webmakers.co.nz/interface-not-registered-exception-from-hresult-0x80040155-microsoft-office-outlook-error/.

Let us know if you still need any other assistance. We're happy to help.

    Cheers,

    Hi DejongHoists

Thank you for sharing your concern on this platform and for providing the diagnostic log in your post. I apologize for the delay in my response.

I responded to your private message before realizing you had attached the diagnostic log here in this thread. Upon reviewing the log, it appears to display the same error as ANCCranes' issue in this thread. I would suggest following the instructions provided in this forum thread.

Should you need further assistance, please feel free to reach out. We're here to support you.

    Thanks,

    Hi Genreve,

I have had the above error message when export reports to excel.

Can you please advise how to get the excel report working? I have tried deleting the cache, but the error message still shows.

    Best regards,

    Catherine
