Sales Export data does not comply with header

I am user AccountRight Premier. See Screenshot
I have run an export as follows:
Sales --> Item Sales --> All Sales

The first 10 or so lines match the header
After that, there are line feeds between address lines and other data.
See attached screenshot.

I checked the contact cards for these customers to see if there were additional line feeds but I could see any problems.

Please help, I need these report to work correctly.

Hi Stuart_Edge , my first thought is whether you actually need the fields that contain the extra line breaks for your sales export and analysis. If not, then unmatch them during the export.

If they are essential, then you can use a tool like Notepad++, which has a 'regex' find & replace option.

This link shows an example of how that might be used in a similar situation:

notepad++ - Remove carriage return from text file - Stack Overflow

All the text from that field would then appear as one long string.

(This option would probably be unfamiliar to many people).

      Thanks for the reply.

Yes I have worked around this by taking these actions.

It doesn't fix the problem, the workaround actions are time consuming and there is nothing consistent in the data to work with a regex or macro to correct the problem.
      Secondly, this data:

      Bank:

      Account name:

      BSB number:

      Account number:
Is not listed in the fields I can select or omit. Where is it coming from?

How do we get this fixed?

  • On further investigation, it appears that some of our staff have been typing the delivery address in manually, rather than selecting it from the drop down.
Secondly, they added a comment which was pasted from some dubious source.
