Bank feeds

I have a number of old Term deposit bank feeds which I have cancelled however I cannot delete in Manage bank accounts as they say they have transactions attached. They show as cancelled

Any way to delete as I want to combine old Term deposits into one account

    Hi

What the message is saying is that transactions have been downloaded for these term deposits so you cannot delete them they are just cancelled

What I am assuming you wish to do is to combine the 3 term deposits into one at the bank.

Remeber MYOB is a financial reporting package - so you must physically do this at the bank

Then you will need to submit a bank feed request for that term deposit account

You can make the general ledger accounts for those term deposits inactive after you journal the roll over into the new account.

The old bank accounts will still show as cancelled in manage bank feeds however.

    Hope this helps

What I do is set up a new code for each term deposit however I now have something like 50 inactive accounts so I thought I could just combine them so I can reuse account codes however as they have canceled bank feeds it will not let me combine them.

      Any solution

        Hi

In manage bank feeds each bank account needs to be allocated to a gl account.

So if one of  the original term deposit bank feeds has been cancelled you may be able ( I haven't done this so am not sure if that is possible) to allocate another term deposit to one of the already used gl accounts ( rename and make active) that you can amend to reflect the new term deposit.

I don't know the nature of your business and you may need to keep transparent records of the term deposits in which case it may be best to keep the gl codes specific to that term deposit.  From what I gather they are all new investments and not just reinvestment.

        Hope this helps
