Start new ID No. sequence in Receipting and General Journalling

Hi everyone,

I am sure there is a workaround for this query.  How can I start a new receipting and general journalling ID no. sequence in my new data file?

I would like to start from CR200001 and GJ200001.

This is to differentiate between the old data file transactions pre 1 July 2023, and the new data file effective from 1 July 2023.

Thank you,

    Hi Alb_Engineering

    Thanks for reaching out.

I understand how important it is to differentiate the group of transactions and changing the sequence of transaction numbers will make it convenient. Currently, there is no way to alter the auto # generated by the system. We could manually change the ID number of each transaction while making them, but the next ID number won't carry on from that number. Rest assured we will raise this as a suggestion to the development team.

Let us know if you require any further assistance. We're happy to help.

    Cheers,

Thank you for advising me that there is no workaround other than manual ID number entries.
