Hi MarisaJPuccio,
Totally get wanting to make sure everything still lines up after a change of ownership.
Updating the ownership or contact details on the account won’t change your serial number or touch your existing company file/data. The support team just updates whose name the serial sits under in your software, and all your historical data stays the same.
There’s also no automatic change to the serial number in the background. A new serial would only be created if a completely new subscription or product was set up for you.
