We didn't as MYOX wouldn't provide a cost unless we gave them a backup of our data which management weren't so keen on.
Our IT department are looking at creating another MYOB file which we can keep for historical purposes and then reducing the live MYOB file which we are utilising - not sure how they are going about the reducing part given that purging isn't an option.

Just thought I would mention, MYOX Services are connected with FGH Tables - see very bottom of MYOX Services web page. FGHTables have a File Utility which has some tools allowing you to analyse and fix some errors in an AR2025 file while it is offline, such as from a restored backup. One of the tools is Purge - this shows you what can be purged year by year, number of transactions, size after purge etc. MYOX Services should be able to give you a quote based on a screenshot of the Purge screen.
If you did decide to proceed with a purge you would need to supply your file. They have a privacy/confidentiality policy on the website. FGH Tables has been handling confidential client files for approx 15 years now and I am not aware of any security breaches etc. They delete all client files after 2-3 weeks.
