How to Import Transaction Journal Online

Hi,

 

I am logged into the MYOB Account Right file on the internet (web browser) and  can't seem to import a Transaction journal whilst logged into the file on  app.myob.  Is this an option to do online?

Can I only import transaction journals using  the MYOB application on my desktop ?

    The AccountRight browser version currently does not support the import of transaction journals. You can find details on what can be imported into your file in this Help article: Importing and Exporting Data.

    Can you please add this function as a feature request for the next update of MYOB Business Online?
     
    We use Employment Hero for payroll and due to MYOB's poor integration - the only option is to export transaction journal from EH to import into MYOB. This worked fine with AccountRight windows application but with MYOB Business Online we have to manually create a journal. This is a big step backward!

    Hello

    Just checking if this problem was ever resolved.  I have to import regular transaction journals for payroll into MYOB AccountRight but can't seem to do this with the online version.  Has this been changed?  If so, how do I import the file or am I best to just stick with importing it via the desktop version?  The files are quite large and it is time consuming to have to key them in manually.  I am concerned in case MYOB ever cancels the desktop version in the future.

    Hi JulieBG, 

     

    Thanks for checking in. At this stage, there haven’t been any changes to the import/export options for this in the browser version, and transaction journal import still isn’t available online.

     

    I also couldn’t find an existing Ideas Exchange post for this exact request in the MYOB Business Ideas area from what I could locate, so if this feature would help your workflow, I’d recommend posting it on the Ideas Exchange board so other users can vote on it too.

     

    In the meantime, the current workaround is still to use the desktop import option where available, or enter the journals manually in the browser version.
