Importing Spend Money transactions

Thanks for the update, and glad our reply reached you quickly. Sorry to hear you’re still receiving Error -19. It sounds like MYOB is still finding a small difference between the transaction total and the amount calculated from the tax code. Removing the tax amount can help avoid manually entered rounding, but the other amount fields in the import file still need to match MYOB’s calculation. Please check that:

• The transaction total matches the sum of the transaction lines
• The correct tax code is being used on each line
• All amount fields are entered to two decimal places
• You haven’t entered a tax-inclusive total alongside a tax-exclusive amount

If the import format allows the tax amount to be left blank, that’s fine, but the remaining amounts and tax codes still need to balance. You may also find this Community post about Error -19 and unbalanced Spend Money imports helpful, as it covers a similar issue.

Thank you for your prompt reply, i did not expect it so quick :)

I managed to export a spend money transaction and used it to prepare the import one. To avoid the tax rounding, i removed the tax amount to let MYOB calculate it with tax code 

Somehow always has error

Welcome to the Community! Spend Money imports can be a little fussy, but the official field list gives us a solid path through the spreadsheet maze. For a Spend Money import, the required fields are:

• Cheque Account, the bank account being paid from.
• Allocation Account No., the account the payment is coded to.
• Amount.

You can also include Date, Co./Last Name, Memo, Job No. and Tax Code. If the amount includes GST, add the Inclusive field and enter X. The safest way to build the template is to export Spend Money data from an AccountRight sample company file, then replace the sample values without changing the headings or structure.
