Importing MYOB Accounts

Hi Peterll​ , a couple of comments:
- the import file is designed for today's AccountRIght, not v19, therefore the first line should have braces ie {} (and nothing else).
- If you need to import account balances, then format the numbers as general. Excel adds "" around values that contain commas.
- Your import file contains lots of blank lines. I've made the above two changes and saved a text file from your XLSX file, which is attached. This file does not have the extra blank lines.
Try the import again using this file.
Thanks for that. It worked. I don't understand it. I exported the text file from the file I imported to, then I opened in Excel, inserted lines with more numbers , names and other details (all 5 digit numbers for account numbers) then tried to import it. It failed the first time. I thought the first line braces were the problem, so I removed them and tried again - no luck. Any idea where the extra blank lines could have come from?
Hi Peterll​ , I'm glad it worked. I can see that each line ends in a CR (carriage return), followed by a CRLF (carriage return and line feed), whereas the text file I created only has a CRLF symbol on each line. But why, I don't know.
