Hi Monopoly1,
Getting payroll transactions lined up just right is crucial and thanks for sharing what you’ve already tried. It's crucial to have payroll transactions reflected accurately. Payroll payments usually show as withdrawals, not deposits. The way you process payroll, whether it’s by electronic transfer, cash, or cheque, affects how everything shows up in your accounts. That’s because each payment method connects to a different account, which in turn has an impact on your Bank Reconciliation.
To get to the bottom of this, let’s start by checking how you’re entering these payroll payments and double-check which accounts they’re hitting. Once we do that, we’ll spot exactly what’s behind the issue and sort it out, either by fixing the payroll or popping in a journal entry to set things straight.
Cheers,
Princess
I've checked everything against the other pays to find the difference, but I can't see one. I've reversed and reprocessed this pay with cheque and cash, with the same result.
