Thank you for reaching out and for suggesting about establishing a commencement date when setting up a new rule, it's valuable feedback and we appreciate your input. Bank rules and bank feeds are indeed different, and bank rules will not impact bank feeds. The bank rules will only work once there is a bank feed. The issue you're experiencing with old transactions that keeps coming up after setting bank rules might need further investigation.
