Duplicate bank transactions

Hi
I am a new user.  I've imported bank transactions and then subsequently set up bank feeds.  The feed has created a heap of duplicate entries.  How do I delete them?

  • Hi Stanis001,

Thanks for posting and welcome to the Community Forum.

I'm sorry to hear about the duplicates you have in the system. Generally, we don't recommend uploading QIF files if you already have bank feeds. What we could do in this situation is to go to Banking > Bank Transactions > Import Statement > delete the bank file you previously uploaded (you need to make sure the bank statement is not connected to any transactions from the bank transaction window before doing this). This will result in having the bank feed transactions left in the bank transaction window.

Let us know if you require any further assistance.

    Thanks

  • Hi, I'm having a similar issue - my bank feeds aren't/weren't connected at the time, and I've imported my statements, but now no matter what I do (delete and re-import my statements) they still appear as duplicate transactions. Is there a reset button or something? It's becoming intensely frustrating. Thank you!

      Hi townsvilletd,

Dealing with duplicate transactions can be annoying! As per my colleague, the best way to fix this is to avoid uploading QIF files when your bank feeds are already connected, as this might cause duplicate entries. To resolve your current issue, you should delete the imported QIF statements, ensuring that the transactions within those statements haven't been matched or allocated yet. Check out this link for more info.

If you still can't delete the imported QIF files, you need to directly reach out to our support team for more help. Start by creating a case via MyAccount or connecting with our live chat agents through our virtual assistant MOCA.

      Cheers,
