You’re spot on, one email address can be linked to multiple files. The message “There is already a user with this email. Enter a different email.” usually pops up when the email you’re trying to use is already tied to a user in that Lite file, either active or inactive.
Quick things to check:
- In your MYOB Business Lite file, check Users and look at both active and inactive users.
- If you see her work email there, you can either reactivate that user or edit that old user to a different email, then invite her again with the correct one. You can check this link for more info on how to do it.
If the email doesn’t appear anywhere in the user list and you’re still getting the same error, it’s best to reach out to our team so they can check what’s happening with that email behind the scenes.
