Remove access to a 'File User'

Thanks for sharing your difficulty deactivating a user. If it’s only one file user you can’t remove, they usually have a different level of access from the others.

 

A good first check is to open the user access settings for that file and see whether they’re listed as the file owner or an administrator. If they are, only the file owner or another admin can remove that access.
