Unable to close account.

I have requested my account to be closed via telephone and via the contact support options however it is still not closed. 
Considering lodging a complaint with fair trading to be honest. 
After looking through community posts this seems to be a common issue.

    It’s clear you’ve done all the right things on your end with your account. Your confirmation to close the account has already been received and is awaiting to be actioned by our team, so it hasn’t been overlooked.
