Upgrading to MYOB Premium
Serial Number Change Pending Since June 19 – Risk of Data Loss During EOFY
I am looking for urgent assistance or advice from a moderator regarding an AccountRight to Business Premium upgrade.
On June 19th, I requested this upgrade over the phone with support. I subsequently received a confirmation email stating:
"We have received your request to change the Serial Number in your online file [Company Name] Pty Ltd from serial number XXXXXXXXXXXX to XXXXXXXXXXXX for file Id 1."
The email noted this process takes 5–7 business days, and explicitly warned that any data entered after June 19th would be lost when the new file is provisioned, as they will be restoring a backup from that date.
As of today, the upgrade has still not finalized. Because we are at End of Financial Year (EOFY), we absolutely cannot afford to lose the critical work, payroll updates, and transactions we have processed over the last 10 days. Keeping manual track of every single change to re-enter them is proving impossible.
Is there any way MYOB support can fast-track this serial number switch, or process the transition using our current live data instead of wiping it back to June 19th?
Any urgent help or escalation from the MYOB team would be greatly appreciated.
