Hi Pacific5
There are two ways to manage this situation and adjust those hours:
Option 1: Adjust while doing the pay
When processing the pay in MYOB Business you can select the expanding arrow for the pays and then manually adjust the number of hours processed on the pay:
Option 2: Having the system automatically do this
When setting up a wage pay item, you can set that the number of hours entered would automatically reduce the base hourly or salary amount. The full process to set that is below:
- Navigate to Payroll>>Pay items
- Select the desired Wages and salary pay item
- Tick Automatically adjust base hourly or base salary details
- Select Save
The above process will enable the option so any hours paid through that pay item will automatically reduce the amount paid through base hourly or base salary. For example, if they normally get 37.50 hours and they take a day's leave it would show 7.5 leave wage and 30 for the base hourly.

HI Pacific5
The employee is set up with Base Salary i.e. they are a salaried paid employee. As such, they would not be paid by the hours therefore the hours would not show on the Create pay run screen - only the dollar amount.
You would either manually adjust the amount or use the other option listed. Alternatively, set up the employee as an hourly employee i.e. update their Pay basis in the Salary and Wages section to be Hourly - which will make them a Base Hourly employee.
