Automatic Super direct debits

Client has set up automatic direct debits for his super weekly, so I do not need to process "Pay Super" does this matter?

    Hi Suevalakiv,

You don’t have to, if your client wants to keep using their own way of paying super contributions. The main thing is just to stick to one method only, either paying directly through their own clearing house or using Pay Super to make the contributions. There's no option to simply mark a contribution as already paid outside the MYOB payment process.

    Cheers,

    Princess

    Hi Suevalakiv

I can see why that’s confusing; that step still needs to be done.

The direct debit simply means the money is taken from the nominated bank account after the payment has been recorded and authorised. It doesn’t replace the Pay Super step itself.

After each pay run, you’ll still need to go to Super payments, record the payment, and authorise it.

    Hi,

Thanks but the client  has created the payment direct from his bank account on a weekly basis, so it is not being paid by the  Payday Super process.

Do I need to ask him to stop this automatic payment or can I advise via Payday super that it has been paid?

    Thanks Sue
