Employee surname change

I have an employee who has recently got married and is changing her surname.  Can I simply go into the employee card details and change it??

Thank you for your post.

 

You will need to update the first name and last fields in their employee card. This will update their records with the ATO when you complete the next pay run for that employee.

    I do not understand your reply, ie:   update the first name and last fields in their employee card.  I am talking about the surname (not first name) and what do you mean by 'last fields' ???

      Hi trish2 

       

      You will just need to edit the last name itself of the employee on the employee card. This will be updated on the ATO's end when you create the next pay run for this employee.
