Monthly Bonus

Hello,

 

I will begin paying a monthly bonus and would like to process it as a separate pay run on the 1st of each month (or thereabouts) for commission on sales made for the month that has just ended.

 

What would be best to select for pay cycle & pay period start & end? If I was to pay it today could I select weekly pay cycle (which is our standard pay cycle) and put the start & finish date as today? Or would it be better as an unscheduled/out of cycle pay?

    Hi sarahtaylor93,

    Great question! It’s pretty common to pay out bonuses or commissions separately, and you’ve got a few options for doing it. If you’d like to keep these payments apart from your regular payroll, you can just do an unscheduled (or out-of-cycle) pay run for the bonus or commission.
