Thanks for the queries. You can indeed do the first pay for the new payroll year without finalizing the end of the previous payroll year. However, it's important to first compare your payroll reports to identify and fix any discrepancies. Once that's done, you can record a payment with a July payment date before finalizing. Just remember, because the July pay is dated in the new payroll year, it won't be included in the payroll year you are yet to finalize. Let me know if you have other questions!

All good to do pay runs for the next financial year while waiting for your accountant's response! As long as the adjustment date and payment date are in June, the software will handle it as part of 2024/2025.
