NZ IR Filing

I have 2 users to process payroll. At the moment only 1 can IR file.

Is it possible for the 2nd person to do this too - they do have IRD access and will be back up payroll processor

Thank you

    Hi EAS6830,

Sorry for the late reply, and thanks for your patience. Yes, the second person can also submit payday filing to IRD, as long as they have access in both places: MYOB payroll and the business’s Payroll account in myIR. MYOB doesn’t grant that IRD access automatically, so the business owner or authorised person will need to delegate them access in myIR first. Once that’s done, please make sure they’re set up as a user in MYOB with the right payroll permissions. After access has been delegated in myIR, they’ll then need to authorise MYOB for payday filing as the delegated user. A good way to sort this would be:

    • Make sure the second person has been invited into MYOB Business and has payroll access
    • Have the business owner or authorised person delegate them access to the Payroll account in myIR
    • In MYOB, reconnect payday filing using that person’s authorised myIR login under Payroll > Payday filing > Inland Revenue settings
    • If any filings were rejected earlier, open the rejected submission and resend it after reauthorising
