Part-week calculation

I have a salaried employee who started on 1-Nov, and thus is entitled to be paid for that day. We had a pay-run on 1-Nov, but as he was not set up in time, we agreed to just pay that one day in the next pay run, which is coming up this Friday. Unfortunately, no matter what I do in MYOB, I cannot set up a pay run that will pay him the 8h plus super (as well as calculate the appropriate leave loading). I know I can add a 'back pay' for the 8h, which will calculate the pay owed (plus tax and super), but it doesn't add anything to the leave loading. It seems like the pay run only works for a full pay cycle, is that correct?

I can't be the first person to have had an employee start in the middle of a week, and be due a part payment, so I'm reaching out to the brains trust!

    Hi _CK_,

    Welcome to the Community Forum!

From what I understand, the pay run is designed to work for a full pay cycle, which is based on the employee's pay frequency (weekly, fortnightly, monthly). However, you can still handle a part-week payment by creating an unscheduled pay run and manually entering the hours and amounts for the specific days worked, including the super and leave loading accrued for that period. If you're still having trouble processing a pay run, you'll need to reach out to our support team for more help. You can use the virtual assistant MOCA to connect with a live chat agent or create a support ticket through MyAccount.
