Reflecting a Redundancy Payout on a Payslip

Hello,

I'd like to know how to reflect a redundancy payout on a payslip, which is of course, a tax-free payment.

This employee was paid out a few months ago, I know how to edit payslips but wasn't sure how to add a non-taxed payment in.

Thanks,

Chloe

  • Hi, Chloemac

Thanks for your post, and welcome to the MYOB Community Forum.

You may check the ATO reporting category assigned to the pay item, or you may also create a new pay item. However, it would still be best to speak with your accountant regarding this, as they can provide you with further details. You can check out our Help Articles: Assign ATO reporting categories for Single Touch Payroll reporting and Setting up pay items.

Should you encounter future issues, please don't hesitate to create a post again.

    Best regards,
