Retrospectively reporting via STP

I registered for STP after having processed several pay runs. I registered last week, for the most recent pay (made today - the first made in the 26/27 FY) I have had an STP reporting option and activated this. However for past pay runs there is no option to report via STP.

I have tried to send an update event to capture the pay information from previous payruns (ie to retrospectively report) but get the message "You may not enter transactions before your conversion date".

My question is how I can then report the pay information to the tax office for the pays that were made before I registered for STP? Without being able to do this I am unsure how I can undertake EOFY finalisation for 25/26.

Thank you community for your help!

    Hi hiddencorner,

That’s a great question. Usually, the message “You may not enter transactions before your conversion date” means MYOB won’t allow an update event for anything dated earlier than the file’s conversion date. So if STP was only set up after those earlier pays were processed, those pre-setup amounts generally can’t just be pushed through normally from that file. In this case, the best option is to manually report those earlier figures directly to the ATO instead.
