Hi Margaret19, 

 

Sounds like you've been working on this leave pay for quite some time.

For a salaried employee, you want:

  • Entitlement (e.g., Annual leave) set to “equals X hours per pay period/year”, and linked to your Annual leave pay wage item, so hours paid reduce the balance.
  • In the pay run, put any part‑day leave hours (e.g., 2.5) on Annual leave pay – not a generic hourly line. That’s what knocks the leave balance down.

Because some leave went to the wrong wage item, you’ll need a quick leave entitlement adjustment to fix the negative hours:
