Are there any repercussions for changing an employees Start Date or Commencement Date? Long Service Leave Start Date is correct.

Good question. It might be yes or it might be no, it really depends on the specific scenario. If there’s already a termination date, or payroll’s been processed and sent to the ATO via STP, changing the Start/Commencement Date can have knock-on effects and you might need to lodge corrections. Best move is to double-check with your financial advisor or the ATO so you’re covered and know if any STP fixes are needed.
