SuperChoice P/L transaction processing problem

My issue occurred because MYOB defaults to the everyday banking account, and I didn't select the correct bank account when I initially processed the super payment.

When setting up Pay Super, I designated a different account for superannuation payments, which means I now must manually select that account every time I process Pay Super. I was able to solve the mismatch by recording the Super payment as a Funds Transfer from the everyday banking account to the account used during the initial Pay Super setup.

Thanks for explaining what’s happened. This usually occurs when the bank feed for the SuperChoice payment has been allocated manually to Superannuation Payable instead of being matched to the existing Pay Super transaction. To sort it out, you’ll want to remove the extra manual allocation or duplicate entry first, then match the bank transaction to the original Pay Super transaction instead. If the balances still don’t look right after that, it’s also worth checking that your superannuation categories are linked to the correct liability and expense accounts.
