Times for payroll

Just wondering when doing payroll, what does MYOB work on, ie. .50 or .30 for the half hour? Just won't to make sure I'm paying correctly

  • Thank you, that's what I thought, but my employee has questioned me a few times why it's .50 minutes not an hour. So just wanted to clarify it. Much appreciated.

    Hi ks21,

MYOB uses decimal time for hours when you process payroll. So, for half an hour, you should enter 0.50, not 0.30. For example, if an employee works 7 hours and 30 minutes, you would enter it as 7.50 hours.

    Cheers,

    Princess
