Used wrong account for pay run, now can't edit

Hi folks, first post.

 

I ran a pay run for myself some time ago for closing the last FY, and it looks like I've 'paid' myself from the wrong account (pay run took it out of '1-1110 Business Bank Account #1' but the real money comes into, and goes out of  '1-1161 Westpac#8506' in the attached screenshot).

 

It looks like I can't 'edit' the pay run to withdraw from the correct account, and I also can't do a journal to move the money around ('1-1110 Business Bank Account #1' isn't available in the drop down list of accounts on the general journal screen). I am having reconciliation errors while this remains the case.

 

How can I either correct the pay run, or move the money in MYOB so that these accounts net out?

    Hi dvas​ - welcome to the forum.

     

    You can simply delete or reverse the pay run, then redo it - and use the correct account.

    Hi dvas​ 

    Maybe try a Spend Money or Receive Money to go from one bank account to the other - works the same as a journal.

    Hi guys, deleting the pay run didn't work as it had already been sent to the ATO.

     

    The solution turned out to be to activate that account, setting it as a cash on hand account, and then journalling the money between the two accounts.
