Browser vs Desktop version

Hi

I am having trouble working out why the desktop version of MYOB Account Right Plus and the Browser version give me different Profit and Loss Reports.  We report on a Cash basis.  There is a difference of approx. $5K within one month, and it all relates to differences in the various lines under Cost of Sales.

There is also a figure showing up in the desktop version against a line under Cost of Sales (Raw Material Expenses), that does not appear in the browser version, and does not appear in the chart of accounts for either version??  How do I find out how this is generated?  It accounts for approx. 50% of the difference.  Does it somehow relate to the Build function in Inventory?  It still does not explain why it appears in desktop version but not browser.

Any suggestions of how to solve this puzzle would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Monica

    Hi Monilou1

That certainly is odd. If both reports are set to cash basis for the same dates, I’d first check if the accrual Profit & Loss matches in desktop and browser.

If the accrual report matches but the cash one doesn’t, it usually means a transaction is being picked up differently in the browser report.

For the Raw Material Expenses amount showing only on desktop, it could be related to inventory transactions such as builds, unbuilds, or adjustments in that month.

For now, I’d use the desktop report as the more reliable figure. If it still doesn’t add up after checking those transactions, it’d be best to contact support through My Account or connect to live chat through MOCA, our virtual assistant, so that they can look into the file further.
